Young Farmer 3C Discussion Groups
supported by FBD Trust
The aim of this service is to promote the discussion group model with young farmers in their local area.
Teagasc and Macra na Feirme work in cooperation to identify interested young people and to establish the groups. The local Teagasc specialised advisor facilitates the group and gives direction and support.
What’s involved?
- Join a group of 12 – 15 members
- Meetings are held on members’ farms
- You meet 8 to 10 times a year
- Meetings normally last two hours
- Members decide the topics for discussion
- All discussions are confidential to the group
- All meetings are facilitated by a Teagasc advisor
