The Teagasc eLearning Support team supports the delivery of online and distance education agricultural, horticultural and food sector training in Ireland. Our courses are primarily delivered via the web but all have an element of practical training involved.
Details of Teagasc eLearning Support courses are available here
At this time, Teagasc is not accepting applications for a Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture for Non-Agricultural Level 6 Major Award Holders (Distance Education option) course. Subject to staff and resource availability, Teagasc is scheduled to provide a Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture for Non-Agricultural Level 6 Major Award Holders (Distance Education option) course in 2012. Applications for this ACA distance education course were accepted from 20 January 2012 until 07 February 2012, when the application period for this course closed.
In 2013, due to migration to the FETAC Common Awards System, the Advanced Certificate in Agriculture is to be replaced by a new award, which may differ in format and duration from the ACA.
It is envisaged that online/distance education options will be available for the new award. At this time, we have no information on the format or scheduling of such courses.
