The following courses are being supported by the Teagasc eLearning Support team:

May 2012 Subject to staff and resource availability, Teagasc is scheduled to provide a Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture for Non-Agricultural Level 6 Major Award Holders (Distance Education option) course in 2012.

From 5 pm Friday 20 January 2012, Teagasc is accepting completed applications for a Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture (Distance Education option) course for full-time or part-time farmers that hold a non-agricultural Level 6 or higher Major award qualification.

Course details and application forms are available as a single Portable Document Format (PDF) file (approx 250 KB) here

Closing date for receipt of completed applications is 5 pm on Monday 12 March 2012.

Please note that as of Friday 03 February 2012, the Roscommon, Kilkenny, Kilmallock, and Clonakilty centres have received applications in excess of their course capacity and are no longer accepting applications. From this date, applications may be sent to the remaining centres.

The Teagasc eLearning Support team supports the delivery of on-line agricultural, horticultural and food sector training in Ireland. Our courses are primarily delivered via the web but all have an element of practical training involved.

The Teagasc eLearning Support team is currently involved in the provision of two Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture courses (for Level 6 Major Award holders) with inception dates November 09 and June/September 2010. These courses are provided in association with regional education centres.

As of 25 February 2010, there is also an ACA course running in the Kilkenny/Waterford Regional Education Centre region.
