National Tillage Conference Postponed

25 January 2006

The Teagasc National Tillage Conference, due to be held in the Dolmen Hotel, Carlow, tomorrow, Thursday, January 26, 2006, has been postponed and will be held at a later date.

The decision was announced after a Teagasc Authority meeting yesterday at the Teagasc HQ in Carlow. Dr Jimmy Burke, Head of the Teagasc Crops Research Centre at Oak Park, says that the conference is being organised against a background of major change in tillage farming and it is vital for producers to assess carefully what type of tillage operation works best in the new post-reform environment.
