Environmental Scheme

An environmental scheme Agricultural Environment Options Scheme (AEOS) for people who are not in REPS 4, who are finished with REPS3 by May 17th of 2010 are not in the Burren Life scheme or in the National Parks and Wildlife scheme.

The AEOS closed for new applications on 17 May 2010.

Organic Farming Schemes

Deer farmers can avail of the organic scheme but there are issues regarding a guarantee of an identified outlet for organic venison.

Disadvantage Areas

Deer are included in the area based compensation scheme for disadvantage areas since 2001.

Establishment Grants

None available at present and unlikely into the future.
