Teagasc Services for Organic Farmers
Teagasc provides training, advice and
research
for those involved in organic production,
those considering converting to organic farming
and the wider organic sector.
Teagasc, in recent years has
devoted
additional resources in the form of
personnel, land and time to provide the
backup needed by the sector.
Access to cutting edge research, advice and
training is
essential if organic farmers are to provide products
efficiently and to a high
standard.

Each Area Unit has advisers
trained
in
the basic principles of organic farming.
These advisers are available for consultation by
anyone interested in organic farming and are backed
up by specialised advisory, training and research
staff.

Teagasc deliver demonstrations annually on 21
demonstration farms strategically located throughout
the country.
