Building a Sustainable Irish Food System
In line with national and EU policy, Ireland has set out in law its ambition to reduce overall greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 51% by 2030. The Irish agriculture and land-use sector faces significant challenges to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25% and achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
In response to this Teagasc has developed a new Climate Action Strategy. Through this strategy Teagasc are proposing to accelerate its research, advisory and education activity in the following areas:

These new positions provide an exciting opportunity to work in the battleground of climate action and help Teagasc to rapidly advance the science and implementation of current and new measures to meet the biodiversity and climate challenges.
