The Authority

Our 11 member Authority is appointed by the Minister for Agriculture, Food & the Marine and has representatives from the farming organisations, the food industry, the universities, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Teagasc staff.

Authority Vacancies

The Authority meets on the first Wednesday of every month except in August. The Authority also has sub-committees as follows: Remuneration Committee, Audit Committee, Research Committee, Advisory and Training Committee and Operations Committee.

Dr. Noel Cawley (Chairman) Dr. Cawley was Chief Executive of the Irish Dairy Board until 2006. He also served as Chairman of the Irish Horse Board, and more recently chaired the Government-established Seafood Strategy Review and Implementation Group.
