Project Title: Development of a Process based milk processing sector Model for the Irish Dairy Industry
Overview: This project will result in the development of a mathematical model with applications at research level as well as a decision support tool for processors while planning their company’s long term strategic goals. The newly developed model will analyse data collected from all the practices and processes carried out at processor level to ensure accurate and efficient data processing to make informed decisions.
Since I have previous work experience in areas like lean supply chain and process improvements, this research project enabled me to build on my existing knowledge, enhancing my skillset and also giving me a diverse experience in the Irish dairy sector. This project has offered a mix of industry and academic research allowing me to associate the direct impact of research on practical industry problems. In my spare time, I like to go for a run, watch a movie or read.
