Project Title: PRO-4-FOOD Nutritional Beverages -Reducing thermal processing to optimize protein quality

Overview: I am currently looking at 6 peptides that are known to be bioavailable. I am performing cellular assays with the murine myoblast cell line, C2C12. The objective of my project is to investigate the effects of these 6 bioavailable whey peptides on cell growth and protection of the murine myoblast cell line, C2C12 (undifferentiated/differentiated cells) from free radical damage. I will also look at assays with a range of antioxidant markers and a panel of cell metabolic biomarkers using ageing C2C12 cell.
