Project Title: Economic and Environmental impacts of diseases in pasture-based dairy systems

Overview: This project mainly focuses on mobility issues in pasture-based dairy cows. The aim of my project is to accurately quantify the economic and environmental consequences of mobility issues in dairy cows in typical Irish spring-calving, pasture-based systems.

My interest in dairy production started from a young age, while growing up on a family run dairy farm. However, my interests in the economic and environmental side of this industry started while completing my undergraduate degree in Animal Science in University College Dublin. When not working on my project, I play Gaelic football for Grange Junior Ladies.
