Overview: Conor’s project focuses on the development, delivery and evaluation of a training programme that equips frontline agricultural advisors with the knowledge, and skills to engage farmers on health issues, to signpost farmers to health services, and to mainstream a health promotion and prevention focus into the routine activities of farming discussion groups.
This study aims to explore the area of farmer’s health and rural masculinity, inform the development of a training programme for agricultural advisors and evaluate the effectiveness of providing frontline agricultural advisors with the knowledge/skills/competencies to engage and signpost farmers on health issues.
I have a keen interest in sport and play hurling for both club and county. When I am not researching and playing sport, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family and drinking a nice cup of coffee (I am a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur/snob!!).
