Project Title: PigNutriStrat
Elisa is a PhD located at Teagasc Moorepark. She joined the pig development team in September 2020. She is experienced in animal science. Before starting a PhD, she worked in the feed additives industry for 2 years. As a PhD student, her research focuses on nutritional strategies to improve piglet performance and to limit antimicrobial usage pre and post-weaning. The project aims to develop solutions to prevent and manage multifactorial enteric diseases in pigs as a means of reducing the need for antibiotic use.
