Trails and Tales - Woodstock, Deerpark, Inistioge, Co Kilkenny - Sunday, November 13th | 11am - 1pm
Woodstock Gardens are located in the south east of Kilkenny just outside the picturesque village of Inistioge. The gardens, overlooking the River Nore Valley, offer the visitor a wide variety of attractions and are a most relaxing and beautiful environment in which to spend a day.
Join Teagasc Forestry Advisor Frances McHugh for an interesting walk through the forest. Find out about the wonders of the woodlands and benefits of forestry to our lives.
Frances will take us on a looped walk of the forest, explaining all about the benefits of forestry on the way - from carbon sequestration to biodiversity. Not to mention the benefits to our wellbeing.
Teas and coffees and snacks will be provided.
Please note: This is an outdoor event so please check the weather and dress suitably. Trekking shoes, rain gear and drinks of water are advised.

Start time: 11am
Meeting point: Car Park Woodstock Gardens & Arboretum. Located just outside the beautiful village of Inistioge, in County Kilkenny. Upon approaching Inistioge from Kilkenny/Thomastown take the first right in Inistioge, up the steep High Street (opposite The Square). Enter through main gateway at top of the hill. Access to the gardens is through car park approximately 750 metres from the main gates.
Car park fees: While the event is free, entry to Woodstock Gardens & Arboretum is €5 per car, payable on exit from the car park, and there will be a contactless payment facility or you can pay using coins.
Please note that places are limited and early booking is essential.
These events are free but must be pre-booked. Registrations must be made by an adult and all children must be accompanied by an adult at events. This event is part of the Festival of Farming and Food sponsored by SFI and Teagasc.
