New Ammonia MACC – outlook to 2030
Wednesday, 7th October
Teagasc recently published a new marginal abatement cost curve (MACC) for ammonia emissions which outlines the steps that can be taken to reduce ammonia emissions from Irish agriculture and the costs of achieving this. The updated MACC estimates the potential to abate national ammonia emissions from agriculture up to 2030.
Teagasc Director Professor Gerry Boyle and researchers gave an insight into the analysis and cost effective pathways to meet future ammonia emission targets.
The publication called ‘An Analysis of the Cost of the Abatement of Ammonia Emissions in Irish Agriculture to 2030’ is available here: https://www.teagasc.ie/media/website/publications/2020/NH3-Ammonia-MACC.pdf
