Marion Cantillon
Project Title: Mitigating emissions from livestock systems
Overview: Marion is looking at ways to improve existing farm-scale decision support systems designed to cost-effectively mitigate GHG emissions from livestock production systems.
Mitigation practices that increase efficiency postulated to have the largest cumulative impact on emissions and are also expected to increase the economic resilience of livestock production systems. This will allow the consequences of mitigation strategies on emissions and costs to be more coherently and accurately quantified both and farm and national level.
This is important in futureproofing agriculture by implementing sustainable and GHG conscious strategies whilst ensuring economic viability.
