HeadshotProject Title: An agricultural innovation ecosystems approach to support sustainable food systems transformation

Overview: I developed a deep love for the earth and a passion for sustainability growing up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. A writer all my life, I pursued an undergraduate degree in journalism and worked as an environmental reporter before transitioning to technical writing in the renewable energy industry. Seeking to understand cultural, economic, and policy drivers of sustainability, I completed a MSc in Sustainable Environments from the University of Galway in western Ireland. I became deeply interested in the sustainable farming transition in the country, with a particular focus on the intersection of cultural change, knowledge diffusion, traditional practices, and equity-focused sustainable agriculture. My PhD will take an innovation systems approach to understanding the Irish organic sector.
