Eoin O'Muircheartaigh

Eoin farms 55ha in Ballydavid south west Kerry close to the coast. He purchases up to 100 calves each spring. The calves are a mix of Friesian, Hereford and Angus bulls which are finished as steers or sold live as forward stores. Eoin plans to move to a full finishing system. He participates in a dedicated dairy calf to beef group with other calf to beef farmers in the Kerry region. Eugene Doherty is his Teagasc Advisor
