Picture 1: Grass cover July 14th, 2023

Grass growth averaged 62kgs/DM/ha during July and early August. This was ahead of demand at an average of 41kgs/DM/ha . Wesley managed to keep the days ahead from 17 to 23 which was ideal. He applied 17 units of Protected Urea /acre over most of the grazing platform. While it has been a relatively good summer for growing grass , ground conditions have been a challenge at times . Wesley operates 3 day paddocks of an average size of 1.3ha so managing ground conditions and getting good graze outs is still possible.
