Farming system: Suckler to beef, steers and heifers slaughtered at 24 months

Farm Plan: Increase herd from 70 to 100 cows in a split calving autumn and spring calving herd. All stock finished on farm. Aiming for a stocking rate of 2 LU/ha and achieve a gross margin of €1000/ha. More paddocks will be installed to achieve greater use of grass and grass will be measured weekly. Regular weighing of stock will be carried out.
