PastureBaseIreland is a grassland management decision support tool and a mechanism to capture background data on farms. PastureBaseIreland stores all grassland measurements in a common structure. This will allow the quantification of grass growth and DM production (total and seasonal) across different enterprises, grassland management systems, regions, and soil types using a common measurement protocol and methodology. The capture, through the database, of on-farm grassland measurements from research and commercial farms will provide valuable strategic data for the grassland industry.
