Gabriela Mihaela Afrasinei

Post-Doctoral Researcher

Research Interests

Dr Afrasinei is a Post-Doctoral researcher in the Agrifood Business and Spatial Analysis Department. She is a geographer with strong background in remote sensing and GIS, and academic research experience accrued in Romania, Italy, Tunisia and Australia. Her interests centre on geospatial analysis and applied remote sensing, land cover/land use and soil classification and mapping, land use dynamics, spectral analysis, satellite imagery processing and classification, secondary soil salinisation, land degradation and desertification dynamics, change detection.
