Research Interests

My main interest is the contribution to climate change from agriculture. I am also keen on researching the financial implications of the various mitigation strategies and their implications on farm level.   Throughout my PhD, I will focus on developing an optimised decision support tool for livestock systems to be used at farm level.   You can follow my updates on my Twitter account @MarionCantillion.

Current Projects

I am Involved in the MELs Project, being supervised my Dr. Saoirse Cummins and Dr. Donal O’Brien (Teagasc) and Professor Thia Hennessy and Professor Armagan Tarim (University College Cork).

I am also involved in the COCOREADO project focusing on strengthening the position on the farmer on the supply chain. https://cocoreado.eu/

I am currently working under the supervision of Donal O’Brien on the MELs project focusing on Mitigating Emissions from Livestock Systems.
