Thesis title: An examination of why dairy farmers who measured grass during their role as monitor farmers discontinued the use of this technology

Padraig Fogarty, hails from Silvermines, Co. Tipperary and completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Agricultural Science from WIT in 2016. He joined Teagasc as a MAIS Walsh Fellowship student, investigating why former dairy monitor farmers who trained in grass measurement, discontinued the use of the technology and identifying support tools to improve the future uptake of grass measurement. Padraig then worked as a B&T Dairy advisor in Kilmallock, which he worked on the Teagasc/Kerry Agribusiness joint industry programme. He is the Signpost Climate Advisor for the Tipperary region.
