Laura Guillardín

Postdoctoral Fellow in Forestry

Research Interests

I am interested in understanding the genetic adaptation of forest species to climatic changes inside and outside their natural range, including the role of species hybridization and the effects of speciation.

I aim to generate key information to develop genomic conservation strategies by using different methods, such as population genetics studies or looking at association of genomic, environmental and phenotypic data by using landscape genomics techniques.

Current Projects

I am working currently on the ADAPTForRes Research Project looking at the adaptation and protection of Irish forests in order to increase their resilience.
