Jean C. G. Ortega
Research Officer – EcologistResearch Interests
I am Research Officer Ecologist in Teagasc. My research is focused in assessing the effect of niche, dispersal correlates and of anthropogenic impacts (habitat and climate change, and biological invasions) on community structure. For this, I often work with streams, floodplains, lakes, reservoirs, fish, macroinvertebrates, and zooplankton as study systems. I use uni (generalized linear models) and multivariate statistics, systematic review, meta-analysis techniques, spatially and temporally extensive data in my research.
