Ognjen Zurovec

Research Officer

Research Interests

My research interests cover nitrogen in soil and its losses, impact of intensive farming on nutrient losses to water, greenhouse gas emissions, climate change adaptation and mitigation, sustainable land management, soil survey and evaluation, interdisciplinary research, spatial analysis.

My current research focus is to quantify nutrient losses from leaching under different farming types and link the results to ground- and surface water quality at the catchment scale.

Current Projects

I am currently working as a soil scientist in the Agricultural Catchments Programme under the supervision of Bridget Lynch

The main objective of the Agricultural Catchments Programme is to generate the knowledge and evaluate the efficacy of the Nitrates Action Programme (NAP) measures and the derogation in terms of water quality and farm practices.
