Fertiliser Requirements of Winter Cereals

The nutrient requirements for winter cereal crops are very much depend on the soils fertility status and the place in rotation.

A soil test should be carried out every 3 – 5 years to determine the soil pH and the levels of major and minor nutrients.  This will provide the basis for the preparation of an effective fertiliser programme for your crop.
