Reporting a Forest Pest or Disease
Are you concerned about a suspected pest, disease or insect attack?
If you come across a suspected forest pest or disease, you should report it to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM). This can be done by mobile phone via TreeCheck or by directly contacting the relevant division (contact details, see below).
What should you do?
www.TreeCheck.net allows you to report suspected cases of disease or insect attack of any tree species.
Browse to www.TreeCheck.net on your mobile device. If you are using a GPS-enabled smartphone, you can share your location. By sharing your location, provides DAFM Forest Health Inspectors with accurate geo-location data to investigate your report further if required.
All reports received by DAFM will be acknowledged and those of particular concern will be followed up by specialist forest health inspectors.
