Forestry One to One Clinics 2026

An independent look at how forestry can add to your farm’s income, sustainability and future

A nationwide series of forestry clinics for people who are considering forestry as an enterprise has been organised by Teagasc’s Forestry Development Department. These one-to-one consultations are being held in every county, between 9 and 26 February.

The forestry clinics will be held in Teagasc offices around the country where a one-to-one consultation with an experienced forestry adviser can be arranged by appointment.

The current Forestry Programme 2023-2027 offers landowners attractive opportunities in relation to forest creation with a wide range of planting options available from small areas of native woodland, combining trees and stock through agroforestry, to forests grown to primarily to produce timber while providing many other benefits.

A consultation with your Teagasc forestry advisor allows time to consider how growing trees might fit in with you overall farming objectives and how they can contribute to improving income, labour efficiencies and farm sustainability.

Forest owners are also welcome to attend these clinics to discuss their forest and ongoing management, including supports for existing forests.

Our forestry advisors provide independent and objective advice, empowering you to make informed decisions on many relevant issues including the following:

  • Options under the Forestry Programme 2023-2027
  • Available grants and premiums
  • Interaction with other farm schemes, e.g. BISS, ACRES, organics
  • How forestry can improve farm income and the environment
  • How to apply and get the job done right first time

Prior booking of a one-to-one forestry consultation is essential. To book your free consultation, please list below for locations and contact details. Please bring maps and other relevant information.
