Broadleaf, mainly oak
Forest Type 6 (FT6)
The aim of Forest Type 6 – Broadleaf, mainly oak is to create broadleaf forests where the main species is oak on 'green field' sites. Nurse species may be required where additional shelter is required.
The focus of this measure is on the production of quality oak timber while delivering a wide range of ecosystem services.
