Environment Report Grant
An Environment Report Grant will be paid if a report from an ecologist or archaeologist is submitted as part of an application for an afforestation licence.
Environmental reports that are eligible for this grant may include:
- Pre-Screening Report
- Habitat Description and Map
- Ecology Report
- Natura Impact Statement
- Archaeology Impact Assessment
- Archaeology Monitoring Report
- Other reports (e.g. bird surveys, botanical surveys, etc.)
It will be paid at the Form 2 stage, which is when payment is made for trees planted. No additional application is required as the process is automated in the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
Grant aid
The amount of grant aid is weighted towards the first few hectares (see table below) and capped at 20 hectares up to a maximum of €2050.
