The Tullamore show is Ireland’s largest agricultural one day show. It will take place once again at the Butterfield Estate, Blueball, Tullamore, Co Offaly on Sunday 9 August.
It is the ultimate country lifestyle event attracting over 60,000 visitors with an extensive range of events including livestock competitions, over 650 tradestands, entertainment, artisan food stalls, cookery demonstrations, crafts, fashion shows, rare breed animals, inventions, photography, farm skills, equestrian, vintage machinery, pets corner, live music, and kids area - someting for all the family. And of course, make sure to visit the ever popular Forest and Energy Section organised by Teagasc's Forestry Development Department!
It will feature the developing farm forestry and renewable energy sectors. With hi-tech machines, and an array of indoor and outdoor exhibits, the Forest and Energy Section is not to be missed in Tullamore.
As the private forest industry grows and develops, it is fulfilling an ever increasing role in our rural economy. The opportunities provided by new afforestation, forest thinning and wood energy enhancing family farm income will be highlighted at the Tullamore Show. Detailed information on the new Forestry Programme 2014–2020 will also be available.
