Interesting field day in Longford where the owners demonstrated how a broadleaf forest can incorporate both recreation and timber production objectives. This 28 hectare forest is being sustainably managed to provide the fuel for a firewood business. Over twenty forest owners attended from both Longford and Westmeath.
