Forestry and Sustainable Living Section
One of these unexpected gems you definitely don’t want to miss is the Forestry and Sustainable Living section. Organised by Teagasc’s Forestry Development Department, this section is composed of an indoor information marquee and a large outdoor trade stand section. It will showcase all facets of Ireland’s rapidly developing farm forestry and renewable energy sectors.
Many organisations and companies will be present this year; ranging from tree nurseries, forestry consultants and companies, state agencies, to firewood processors and other hi-tech machines. As the private forest industry continues to develop, it contributes more and more to our rural economy. The opportunities provided by a farm forest enterprise to enhance family farm income particularly through new afforestation, timber sales and wood energy will be highlighted at the Tullamore Show.
A visit to the Forestry and Energy Section in Tullamore provides an excellent opportunity to meet key players from the forestry sector. With all aspects of the forest industry covered, this is a great opportunity to avail of free, comprehensive and up to date information on forestry and renewable energy.
