Winners announced in the category 'Trees on the Farm'

Winning image - adult category

The winning entry in the adult category is by Aoife Hester, from Bray, County Wicklow. 

Aoife’s image transmits the peace and quiet often found in the countryside. The trees, animals and fields illustrate how forestry and agriculture can complement each other. Aoife says she visits the tree at different times of year and enjoys the changing colours.

Winning image - junior category 

The junior category winner is Eva Heaphy from Kilworth in County Cork.

Eva’s entry is very imaginative, colourful and unusual. Reading a book in the shade of trees on a warm day is a wonderful way to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. Woodlands on the farm can offer these places of tranquillity. Eva says this farm is a great place to "escape everything" as it is deep in a forest. 

Highly commended images

A highly commended image in the adult category was entered by Kevin Naughton while Emily Conroy entered a highly commended image in the junior category.
