Autumn Sheep Grass Walks

Making the most of what grass you have & getting winter fodder right

2018 has been a very challenging year for most farmers, so it is important to make the most of autumn grass to reduce winter feed demand, whilst setting the farm up for grazing early in the spring. This will help lower feed costs, which would be welcome change across all farm enterprises. Teagasc have organised a series of on-farm demonstrations paying particular attention to this coming winter and utilising fodder. The events will focus on:

  • Autumn Grassland Management
  • Winter Fodder Plan

It is a great opportunity for all farmers to discuss current fodder challenges and the options available to overcome them. See below for a list of the events, and we hope to see you all there.
