COVID Update: Teagasc Education Delivery 2021/2022 – Full-time Agricultural College Courses
In line with Government guidelines for further and higher education, Teagasc has moved to maximise onsite classes and skills training. Remote delivery will be retained to support teaching and learning.
Since the 20th September the requirement for social distancing in an education context has been relaxed. Teagasc continue to maintain Covid-19 avoidance measures including the requirement for face coverings in all teaching situations. Hand hygiene and other good Covid-19 avoidance practices will also continue.
Covid-19 restrictions are expect to relax further from mid-October and Teagasc guidance will be reviewed in-line with government guidelines at this time.
Each college and centre has drawn up a plan for the safe delivery of courses. These plans detail the Covid-19 measures that are in place. Learners will be advised of the Covid-19 measures and delivery plans at course induction. Changes to delivery plans will be communicated to learners throughout the programme. If you have any specific queries or concerns please contact the college or centre you will be attending for clarification. A copy of up-to-date plans are available from college principals or course co-ordinators on request.
It is important that you are aware of Covid-19 risks to yourselves, your families and other learners. We expect that you will cooperate fully Teagasc Covid-19 guidance and advise that you also adhere to national guidelines including advice on travelling to and from your course.
We intend to deliver Teagasc education programmes on schedule so that learners progress and graduate on schedule. Your cooperation will help us achieve this aim.
