Virtual College Open Days 2021

Teagasc held a series of virtual events for prospective applicants to its full-time Level 5 agriculture, horticulture, equine and forestry courses. Attendees were shown behind the scenes footage of college educational facilities and farm enterprises, had the opportunity to hear testimonials from past students and were able to join a live Q&A session. 

Topics discussed include; the application process; course content and elective subjects; progression; student maintenance grants and work experience arrangements.

On Tuesday, 2 March, a live panel discussion and Q&A session with lecturers and past students from Ballyhaise College where attendees heard about the forestry courses offered at the college and had the opportunity to view superb behind the scenes video footage of college students out on practical training on the college forestry enterprise.

A live panel discussion and Q&A session with lecturers and past students from the Teagasc College of Amenity Horticulture at the National Botanic Gardens where attendees heard about the full time and part time courses offered at the college such as landscape design, nursery stock, sports turf management and food production. Mountbellew Agricultural College, Mountbellew, Co. Galway

The virtual event consisted of a joint panel discussion and Q&A session with staff from Teagasc Education, GMIT and Mountbellew.

Lecturers and past students of Mountbellew Agricultural College joined the event to discuss Teagasc and GMIT courses in agriculture offered in Mountbellew.


Gurteen Agricultural College, Ballingarry, Roscrea, Co Tipperary

Pallaskenry Agricultural College, Pallaskenry, Co. Limerick

Salesian Agricultural College Pallaskenry hosted a Virtual College Open Day at 7pm on Thursday the 15 April. Featuring a live panel discussion with lecturers followed by a Q&A session, testimonials from past students and excellent video footage of our practical training facilities and all of the college farm enterprises.
