Important Information – Please Read Before Applying

Replacement Certificates
Teagasc does not issue replacement certificates. For awards issued from 2016 onwards, replacement certificates must be requested directly from Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI)

If You Already Have Your Certificate
If you hold your original certificate and are unsure whether a Teagasc letter is required, please email qualifications@teagasc.ie for clarification before applying.

Payments
Once your application is received and qualifications verified, Teagasc will contact you to arrange payment by credit or debit card.

Data Protection
In accordance with GDPR, Teagasc cannot share qualification information with third parties

Letter to Confirm Eligibility of Qualifications for Trained Farmer Status

This application form should be used by the following categories of applicants:

1. Holders of Irish agricultural qualifications corresponding to a Revenue Schedule 2B qualification – Fee €50
2. Holders of ACOT/Teagasc agricultural qualifications who have lost or misplaced their certificates – Fee €50

Note: For awards issued after 2016, replacement certificates must be requested from QQI

1. Holders of non-agricultural major awards (Level 6 or higher) plus 180 hours certificates completed before 31st March 2008 – Fee €50
2. Applicants who have completed two years in a third-level institution (no award issued), gained entry to third year and completed 180 hours prior to 31st March 2008 – Fee €50
3. Holders of non-Irish qualifications – Fee €150

Letter Confirming Qualification(s)

This application form is for holders of ACOT and Teagasc qualifications who require written confirmation of their qualification(s) for the purposes of:

• Higher education applications
• Employment or promotion
• Visa or immigrations applications
• Planning permission
• Other official or professional requirements

Please Note

• This letter cannot be used for Stamp Duty Exemption or for DAFM Young Trained Farmer Schemes
• Teagasc cannot issue replacement or duplicate certificates or diplomas
• For qualifications from 2016 onwards, replacement certificates must be requested from Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI)
