This Spring, we are inviting you to submit photos, capturing the actions that you are taking to reduce emissions on your farms.
About the Competition
The photo competition is running across 12 months with 4 phases to it – Autumn climate actions, Winter climate actions, Spring climate actions, Summer climate actions.
We are inviting you to submit images of the climate actions that farmers across the country are taking to help reduce emissions on their farm.
Each phase will have its own winner. The winner of the Autumn Climate Actions (Phase 1) can be viewed here.
Below is a list of just some of the climate actions that we want farmers to take this Spring to help reduce emissions on their farm:
- Spreading slurry using LESS
- Spreading lime
- Buying and using protected urea
- Getting slurry analysed
- Using the hydrometer
- Grazing animals
- Observing buffer zones
- Turning out animals
- Weighing animals
- Looking after calves
- Sowing
- Doing a milk recording
- Selecting bulls
