Managing P in Ballycanew
For both efficient food production and water quality, it is important that phosphorous is carefully managed on Irish farms and particularly on heavy soils. Such soils are common in the Ballycanew area of north Wexford e.g., the Mackamores. On 8 October, farmers together with their advisor Colm Doran, visited the Ballycanew catchment and got updates on farm measures for improving water quality.
