LAWPRO visit Ballycanew
On 5 October, the ACP hosted the quarterly meeting of the South East Regional Operational Committee on water quality. The focus of the meeting was on agriculture and ensuring good engagement and participation of farmers in protecting water quality. Eddie Burgess, Catchment Specialist presented key ACP findings during the morning session. In the afternoon, attendees visited the Ballycanew catchment to get further updates from the programme. The committee is one of five similar committees throughout the country which support Ireland’s efforts to address the decline in water quality and its members are drawn from many sectors.
