Much of the data held by the Agricultural Catchments Programme (ACP) is of a sensitive nature and contributed voluntarily by participating farmers and land owners. For data sensitivity and intellectual property reasons, agreed procedures are in place both regarding the collection and distribution of this data. Accordingly, any data requests should be submitted to the Communications Officer.
Up to January 2018, all 46 documented requests for hydrochemometric, soil and geophysical data have been approved. The requests are classified as follows:
- 22 - student projects (10 within Teagasc)
- 15 - national research projects or investigations (6 directly to / funded by EPA, and 3 within Teagasc)
- 7 - international research collaboration
- 2 - teaching
