Farmer Meetings

In each Priority Area for Action (PAA) a farmer information meeting are held. The meetings are organised by the Teagasc and Co-op advisors with assistance from Local Authority Waters Programme and Catchment Assessment Teams.

The purpose of the meeting is to:

Provide information on the quality of the water in the local PAA
Provide information on the service the ASSAP will provide to the farmers in the catchment
To discuss potential mitigation measures aimed at preventing nutrient loss to waters

All farmers and interested family members are encouraged to attend the farmer information meetings and to engage in the discussion on the local stream water.
