Infogest Webinar Series on Food Digestion
INFOGEST is an international network with the aim of Sharing Information on the Digestion of Food. The aim of the network is to improve the current scientific knowledge on how food is disintegrated during oral, gastric and intestinal digestion. The INFOGEST webinar series is held on the first Wednesday of the month in the run-up to the next International Conference on Food Digestion 3-5 May 2022 in Cork, Ireland.

Food Industry Development Webinars
The Food Industry Development Department supports the Irish agri-food industry through the provision of advice, consultancy and specialist technical services. This webinar series is hosted by Carol Griffin, Research Officer in Sensory Science & New Product Development, and showcases the latest in industry support services from the Teagasc Food Research Programme.

Irish Coronavirus Sequencing Consortium
The Irish Coronavirus Sequencing Consortium is funded by Science Foundation Ireland and led by Professor Paul Cotter from Teagasc Moorepark. The aim of the project is to sequence or “read” the genetic information of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. This will allow us to track the spread of the virus and any changes in its genetic sequence which may affect the disease or treatment.
On 7th October 2020, the Consortium held a public webinar to give an overview of the project aims and methods. Watch the webinar here
Science Week 2020: The Festival of Farming and Food
Teagasc held a number of exciting events for Science Week, 9-15th November 2020. The overall theme of Science Week was "Choosing Our Future", focusing on how science can improve our lives in the present and the future.The Food Research Programme were involved in two events: Back to the Future from Moorepark and A Taste of the Future from Ashtown.
