Sheepdog Series Part 2: Communicating with your Dog

In the second video of this series, Martin Feeney of Atlantic Sheepdogs speaks about how the way you communicate with your dog can directly influence their performance.He also outlines the benefits of the dog being trained to the whistle

Martin explains that there is no need to shout at a dog because the dog will become used to constant shouting as being normal. When the dog needs to be corrected then shouting will not work. Instead, he recommends lowering the voice, using the voice with emphasis and even growling, as just some of the interesting techniques to use.
