Seasolutions: Seaweeds & seaweed-ingredients to reduce enteric methane emissions from pasture-based sheep, cattle and dairy cows
On 10th and 11th March, Teagasc will host an online conference on the Seasolutions project, which is investigating whether the addition of native seaweeds and seaweed extracts to the ruminant diet can reduce methane emissions.

Hedge Cutting Season now Closed
The hedge cutting season is over. Today, Tuesday, 1 March is the first day of the bird nesting season, hedges must not be cut. Catherine Keena, Countryside Management Specialist points out that the absence of hedge cutting from March to September allows birds to nest safely and without disturbance.
