The 3rd European farmers’ network webinar takes place today at 5pm. In this webinar hear from innovative grass-based Irish beef producers about how they're improving beef carbon footprint. LIFE BEEF CARBON is an initiative combating climate impact of beef production in Ireland, France, Italy & Spain
The principal goal of LIFE BEEF CARBON is to avoid 120,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions, while maintaining beef production close to current levels. In other words, the initiative is targeting a 15% reduction in beef carbon footprint over a 10 year period.
Innovative beef producers are rising to this sustainability challenge by testing low carbon practices and technologies on their farms. The science behind these carbon solutions will be discussed at the 3rd European farmers’ network where innovative grass-based Irish beef producers will give live testimonies on how they are improving beef carbon footprint.
