Highlights from the Teagasc Crops Open day Part 2 - Protein Crops

This is the second of four shows from the Teagasc Crops Open Day in Oak Park Carlow and this episode of the Tillage Edge podcast is focusing on protein crops.

Sheila Alves, a Teagasc researcher in bean agronomy, highlights the huge potential to increase production by using intercropping of beans and peas.

Sinead Fitzsimons, a researcher in the U-Protein project, outlines how specific processes can add value to proteins with the resulting products excellent for the food ingredients market.
